The OPAL-PLUS-GY offers adjustable sensitivity for accurate detection across different room sizes and layouts. Its compact housing and neutral grey color allow unobtrusive installation in residential, office or commercial interiors. Designed for easy wiring and integration, the sensor supports reliable passive infrared detection with a focus on reducing false alarms through sensitivity adjustment.

Suitable for

• Interior spaces in homes and apartments
• Office rooms, corridors and common areas
• Commercial premises such as shops and service areas
• Integration with alarm systems, lighting control and automation

Key specifications

• Type: passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor for indoor use
• Finish: grey housing suitable for discreet placement
• Sensitivity: adjustable to adapt detection range and responsiveness
• Mounting: wall-mounted installation; supplied without mounting bracket
• Intended use: presence and movement detection for alarm and automation systems

How to use

Install the sensor on an interior wall at the recommended height for the monitored area and connect it to the control panel or automation input according to the system wiring guidelines. Adjust the sensitivity control to match the room size and typical activity level: use lower sensitivity to reduce false triggers in small or busy areas and higher sensitivity for larger or less active spaces. Test detection coverage after installation and make fine adjustments to ensure reliable detection across the desired zone.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid mounting the sensor near direct heat sources, open windows or air conditioning outlets that may cause rapid temperature changes. Regularly check wiring connections and verify sensitivity settings after any layout or furniture changes to maintain accurate detection and minimize false alarms.
