Schakelkast Rittal 1527.000, staal, IP66, 800×200×120 mm

Rittal 1527.000 is a compact steel electrical enclosure with IP66 protection, designed for installations that require complete dust exclusion and strong water resistance. With external dimensions of 800×200×120 mm, this terminal box provides a secure housing for control components, terminal blocks and small electrical assemblies. The enclosure is supplied as a single unit and features a design without a gland plate to allow flexible interior installation while maintaining the specified protection class.

Advantages

The steel construction ensures mechanical robustness and long service life in indoor and outdoor environments. IP66 rating guarantees protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making the enclosure suitable for harsh conditions. Absence of a pre-fitted gland plate enables customised cable entry solutions and flexible positioning of internal components. The compact footprint supports space-efficient installations and straightforward mounting of control and connection elements.

How to use

Select an appropriate mounting location that preserves the enclosure's IP66 rating and allows access for installation and maintenance. Mount the enclosure using suitable fasteners for the mounting surface and ensure the door or cover seals correctly. Install required internal components such as DIN rails, terminal blocks or small control modules, and plan cable entry points where custom glands or conduit fittings will be fitted. After wiring, verify that all cable glands, conduit connections and cover fastenings are correctly installed to maintain protection against dust and water.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant glands and appropriate sealing materials for outdoor installations or locations with aggressive atmospheres. Verify compatibility of internal accessories (mounting plates, DIN rails, or insulation panels) with the enclosure dimensions before assembly. Periodically inspect seals and fastenings to ensure continued IP66 protection.
