Schilderset Ravensburger CreArt Do it together - honden, samenschilderset

Ravensburger 25866 is a boxed children's casting and painting kit designed for ages 7 and up. The set combines moulding and painting activities to create decorative figures or craft items. Supplied as a complete kit, it includes casting material, moulds and paints that allow children to produce painted objects while developing fine motor skills and creative confidence. The product is designed for home use, classroom projects and hobby sessions where supervised creative play and step-by-step guidance are useful.

Advantages

The kit brings casting and painting together in one set, simplifying the process with purpose-made moulds and a selection of paints matched to typical craft surfaces. This structure reduces the need for advanced sculpting or painting experience and helps children work methodically from casting to finish. Materials are arranged so users can complete multiple stages—casting, drying and painting—while learning techniques for even paint coverage and neat detailing. The set is suitable for mixed-skill groups because it divides tasks into clear steps and supports gradual skill development.

Suitable for

• Craft projects at home with parental supervision
• After-school creative activities and hobby time
• Classroom art lessons and small group workshops
• Beginner practice for children developing manual dexterity and painting basics

Key specifications

• Target age: 7 years and older
• Contents: casting moulds, casting material, paints and basic painting accessories
• Activity types: casting three-dimensional figures and hand-painting finished pieces
• Packaging: boxed set intended for multiple sessions
• Recommended environment: indoor use on a stable work surface

How to use

Start by preparing a protected workspace and reading any instruction leaflet included in the box. Mix and pour the casting material into the moulds according to the supplied proportions, then leave the cast pieces to set and dry fully before demoulding. Once the cast items are dry and smooth, select paints and accessories from the kit and apply colour in thin layers, allowing drying time between coats. Use smaller brushes for details and a larger brush for broader areas, and clean tools between colours to keep finishes neat. Store unused materials in a dry place and follow any safety guidelines printed on the packaging.

Recommendations

Work on a covered table and wear aprons to protect clothing. Supervise younger children during casting and follow the kit instructions for mixing and drying times to ensure safe handling. For best results, sand minor surface imperfections lightly before painting and apply paint in thin, even layers. Allow completed items to cure fully before display or handling and keep the finished pieces indoors to preserve painted surfaces.
