SCHROFF VARISTAR ventilatoreenheid, 3 ventilatoren, IEC 320 C14 aansluiting, 230 V AC, 3U, RAL 7035

For VARISTAR enclosures that demand reliable thermal management without compromising on space, this roof-mounted fan unit delivers a straightforward, high-airflow solution. Unlike generic cooling trays that force you to adapt mounting points or accept subpar airflow, this unit is engineered specifically for VARISTAR frames, ensuring a clean fit and consistent performance. With three integrated fans and a single IEC 320 C14 inlet, it consolidates power and airflow into one tidy package.

Highlights

• Three integrated fans provide up to 1050 m³/h airflow at 50 Hz (1200 m³/h at 60 Hz) to keep critical equipment within safe operating temperatures.
• Roof mounting for VARISTAR enclosures – no extra brackets or drilling required; it drops into the designated opening.
• 230 V AC operation with IEC 320 C14 inlet means you can use a standard power cord, simplifying installation and maintenance.
• 3U height matches common rack-mount equipment, preserving valuable vertical space for servers and networking gear.
• Sheet steel construction with RAL 7035 light grey finish blends seamlessly with most IT environments and provides durability.

In daily use

Installation is a matter of positioning the unit on the enclosure roof and securing it with the included hardware. Once connected to mains power, the fans run continuously, drawing warm air upward and out of the enclosure. The noise level of 60 dB(A) at 50 Hz is typical for active cooling in data closets and equipment rooms, but if your VARISTAR is in an occupied office, you may want to place it away from workstations. The unit's IP20 rating means it is intended for indoor, controlled environments – keep it away from dust, moisture, and conductive contaminants.
