Why choose it

Surveillance workloads differ from standard desktop use. SkyHawk drives are tuned with firmware optimizations known as ImagePerfect, which reduces frame loss during video capture. The high workload rating of 180 TB per year ensures the drive can handle the demanding stream of data from multiple cameras without faltering. With a 1,000,000-hour MTBF, this drive is built for longevity in always-on recording environments.

Ideal use cases

• Network video recorders (NVRs) for residential and commercial CCTV
• Video analytics systems running 24/7
• Server-based surveillance arrays requiring reliable bulk storage
• Upgrading existing DVR/NVR systems

Good to know

The drive supports up to 64 HD cameras and 8 drive bays, making it suitable for medium to large surveillance setups. Its CMR recording technology ensures consistent performance in multi-stream environments.
