Sectorantenne Ubiquiti PBE-M5-300

The Ubiquiti PowerBeam™ series is a high-performance airMAX® bridge that uses a dish reflector design and integrated radio feedhorn (InnerFeed®) to deliver efficient wireless links for customer premises. Models include PBE‑M2‑400, PBE‑M5‑300, PBE‑M5‑400, and PBE‑M5‑620. The PowerBeam PBE‑M5‑300 is a 5 GHz sector antenna with 22 dBi gain, compact dimensions (325 mm × 325 mm × 256 mm) and a rugged build for outdoor use.

Advantages

The integrated radio design eliminates antenna-to-radio cables, reducing loss and improving overall link performance. The PowerBeam’s form factor provides high gain for its size and strong beam directivity, which helps maintain throughput in noisy outdoor environments. airMAX® TDMA protocol supports scalable multipoint networks with high throughput and low latency. The unit is easy to assemble with minimal tools and can be pole-mounted using a single wrench.

Suitable for

• Point-to-multipoint wireless broadband links
• Backhaul and CPE deployment in outdoor networks
• Environments requiring focused, high-gain 5 GHz coverage
• Installations exposed to wind and weather where a robust antenna is needed

How to use

Mount the PowerBeam on a suitable pole or tower using the provided mounting hardware and a single wrench for final tightening. Align the antenna toward the base station or target sector to optimize signal strength and beam alignment. Connect the integrated radio to PoE power and to your CPE or network switch following the manufacturer’s cabling and grounding guidelines. Use the airOS/airMAX software interface to configure frequency, channel width and network parameters for your deployment.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, verify clear line-of-sight to the remote site and minimize reflective obstructions. In high-wind locations, ensure clamps and pole mounts are secured to withstand gusts. Consider using the optional PBE-RAD-400 radome for additional protection against the elements.
