Serverrack Inter-Tech 2U-2504 zwart 480x527x89mm 60mm ventilator

The Inter-Tech 2U-2504 Black server rack is a compact 2U chassis designed for rack-mounted equipment requiring efficient airflow. With external dimensions of 480 x 527 x 89 mm and a sturdy metal construction, this unit provides space for standard 19-inch mounting while allowing installation of front 60 mm fans to improve component cooling. At approximately 10.5 kg, the chassis balances rigidity and manageable weight for installation into server cabinets or network racks.

Advantages

The chassis supports active front cooling through one or more 60 mm fans, improving heat dissipation for hard drives, controllers and other hot-running components. Its 2U height and standard width make it compatible with a wide range of rack systems and accessories. The metal body offers mechanical strength and stable mounting for internal components. The compact depth keeps the unit suitable for shallow rack spaces and allows flexible placement in data closets or telecommunications cabinets.

Suitable for

• Small server deployments and single-board servers
• Network appliances such as routers, firewalls and switches with 2U form factor
• Storage controllers and compact NAS builds requiring front fan cooling
• Laboratory or test-bench racks where space efficiency is important

Key specifications

• Form factor: 2U rack-mount chassis compatible with 19-inch racks
• External dimensions (W x D x H): 480 x 527 x 89 mm
• Material: metal chassis with black finish
• Supported cooling: front mount positions for 60 mm fans
• Net weight: approximately 10.5 kg
• Depth suitability: compact / shallow rack spaces

How to use

Install the Inter-Tech 2U-2504 into a standard 19-inch rack by aligning the front mounting ears with the rack rails and securing with appropriate rack screws. Mount internal components according to their form factor and cable layout, leaving space for airflow in front of heat-generating parts. If additional cooling is required, install one or more 60 mm fans in the front fan positions and connect them to the system power source or fan controller. Ensure cable routing does not obstruct airflow and verify secure grounding before applying power.

Recommendations

Position the chassis in a rack with sufficient front and rear clearance to allow airflow. Use dust filters where available for front fan intakes, and schedule periodic inspections to remove dust buildup. Match fan speed and power connections to the overall system thermal plan to maintain stable operating temperatures for installed equipment.
