Sharp P701U standard-throw-projector 7000 ANSI lumen 3LCD WUXGA (1920x1200) wit

The Sharp P701U is a high-brightness laser projector designed for large venues and professional installations. It delivers 7000 ANSI lumens using 3LCD projection technology and provides a WUXGA native resolution (1920x1200) for detailed widescreen images. The projector uses a laser light source with an expected service life of up to 20,000 hours, and it is finished in white with manual focus and a focal length range of 15.3 to 24.6 mm. It supports common analog broadcast formats including NTSC, PAL, PAL 60, PAL M, PAL N and SECAM, and includes an RS-232 serial interface for integration with control systems.

Advantages

The Sharp P701U combines high lumen output and 3LCD technology to produce bright, color-accurate images suitable for large screens. The laser light source offers long operational life and stable brightness over time, reducing maintenance compared to lamp-based projectors. Manual focus and a defined focal length range allow for precise optical setup during installation. Support for multiple analog signal formats and an RS-232 interface enables compatibility with a variety of legacy and professional control systems.

Suitable for

• Large conference halls and auditoriums
• Lecture theatres and training facilities
• Fixed installations in houses of worship and museums
• Corporate boardrooms and event venues

How to use

Install the Sharp P701U on a stable mount or ceiling bracket positioned to achieve the desired screen size and throw distance consistent with the projector’s focal length range. Connect video sources using the supported input interfaces on the installation site and select the native WUXGA resolution on the source device to ensure optimal image detail. Use the manual focus control to fine-tune image sharpness after positioning. Configure any required analog format settings if feeding from legacy broadcast equipment, and integrate the projector into a control system via the RS-232 serial interface where needed.

Recommendations

For consistent long-term performance, allow adequate ventilation around the projector and follow site installation guidelines for ambient temperature and dust control. Plan for periodic verification of image alignment and focus, especially after maintenance or ceiling access. Use the laser source as intended without attempting user-serviceable modifications to the optical or light source systems.
