shiverpeaks BASIC-S netwerkkabel oranje 0,25 m Cat7 S/FTP

The shiverpeaks BASIC-S networking cable Orange 0.25 m Cat7 S/FTP is a short patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. It provides Category 7 performance with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in dense cabling environments. The cable is fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable contact and improved corrosion resistance during frequent insertions.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable combines compact length with high shielding effectiveness, making it suitable for patching equipment within racks, connecting switches to patch panels, or linking devices in compact workstations. The gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help minimize contact resistance and support stable data transmission. The orange jacket improves visibility for cable management and rapid identification in mixed-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network devices (switch-to-patch panel, switch-to-router)
• Dense rack and cabinet cabling where interference protection is required
• Workstation or server connections requiring Category 7 performance
• Environments where cable identification by color is beneficial

Key specifications

• Standard: Category 7 performance for high-speed Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contacts: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Jacket color: Orange for easy identification

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other end into the corresponding port on a switch, router, or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. For best results, avoid sharp bends and excessive strain near the connector ends and route the cable away from high-power electrical sources to maintain signal quality.

Recommendations

Use this 0.25 m Cat7 S/FTP cable for short, high-performance connections inside racks and enclosures. Pair it with properly grounded and shielded infrastructure to maximize interference protection, and use color-coded cables for organized cabling and quick fault tracing.
