shiverpeaks BS08-41074-4 Cat8.1 F/FTP netwerkkabel, RJ45, rood, 10 m

Data centers and high-performance computing environments demand cabling that can keep pace with 40 Gigabit Ethernet. The shiverpeaks BS08-41074-4 network cable delivers exactly that, connecting servers, switches, and storage arrays with a 10-meter red Cat8.1 F/FTP patch cable built for 2000 MHz bandwidth. Its double-shielded construction and gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure signal integrity even in dense, interference-heavy racks.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 (Class I) – supports up to 40 Gbit/s (40GBASE-T)
• Length: 10 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (foiled twisted pair, overall foil shield)
• Connectors: RJ45 male to RJ45 male, gold-plated contacts
• Conductor: 4 pairs of solid copper
• Bandwidth: up to 2000 MHz
• Backward compatible with Cat6a, Cat7, and Cat7a networks
• Colour: Red

Why choose it

This cable meets the strict ISO/IEC 11801 Class I standard, guaranteeing reliable performance for 25G/40G Ethernet over short distances. The F/FTP shielding minimizes alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, making it ideal for high-density installations. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance over thousands of mating cycles, ensuring a stable link for years.

Ideal use cases

• Data center top-of-rack and end-of-row cabling
• High-speed server-to-switch connections in enterprise LANs
• Workstations requiring 10G/25G/40G network access
• Audio/video production environments where interference is critical
• Upgrading existing Cat6a/Cat7 infrastructure to future-proof bandwidth

Good to know

The cable's red jacket provides easy identification in crowded racks, and its robust PVC outer sheath protects against abrasion. While Cat8.1 is optimized for data center distances up to 30 meters, this 10-meter length offers flexibility for patch panels and direct device links. For best results, pair with Cat8.1 compatible equipment to achieve full 40 Gbit/s throughput.
