ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 1m netwerkkabel

The ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 1m networking cable is a 1-metre U/UTP patch cable with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold and a black outer jacket. It is designed to support high-speed data transmission for typical Ethernet networks and to provide reliable connections between routers, switches, computers and other network devices in home and small office environments.

Advantages

The U/UTP construction minimises external electromagnetic interference while keeping the cable flexible and easy to route. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve conductivity and resist corrosion for stable signal transfer. A one-metre length provides a compact, low-tension connection where short runs are required, reducing cable clutter and signal degradation associated with longer leads.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops or NAS to a router or switch over short distances
• Patch connections in wall plates, patch panels or alongside desktop network equipment
• Home networks, small office LANs, and multimedia streaming setups
• Temporary network setups for testing or troubleshooting

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6
• Length: 1 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs with overall unshielded jacket)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer colour: Black
• Typical use: Ethernet, Gigabit networks

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the cable to link a computer, router, switch or patch panel for wired network access. For best performance, avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain gentle curves and secure the cable with cable management accessories if needed. When connecting to patch panels or wall jacks, ensure connectors are fully seated and visible retaining tabs are intact.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m Cat 6 cable for short, in-room connections to minimise excess cabling and potential signal interference. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic sources. For longer runs or environments with high EMI, consider a shielded cable variant or higher-grade installation practices.
