ShiverPeaks Cat7 U/FTP slank 0,5 m netwerkkabel

The ShiverPeaks Cat7 U/FTP Slim 0.5m networking cable is a short, high-performance Ethernet lead designed for stable, high-speed data transmission in compact installations. This 0.5 meter cable uses U/FTP shielding to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, and comes in a bright yellow jacket with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold for reliable contact and reduced corrosion. Its slim profile supports neat cable routing in tight spaces while maintaining Cat7 signal characteristics suitable for modern wired networks.

Advantages

The U/FTP construction provides improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables, helping to preserve signal integrity in environments with multiple nearby cables or electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact quality and long-term durability. The short 0.5 m length minimizes excess cable clutter and reduces latency in short runs, while the slim outer jacket enables easier routing through cable channels and behind equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in rack or desk-mounted setups where short cable runs are needed
• High-speed LAN links for workstations, switches, routers, or patch panels
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred
• Home offices and small office networks requiring tidy cable management and visible color coding

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 performance level suitable for high-frequency Ethernet
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce crosstalk
• Length: 0.5 meters for short, direct connections
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Cable profile: slim jacket designed for tight routing and space-saving installations
• Color: yellow for easy identification and color-coded installations

How to use

Insert RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding LAN ports on your devices until each plug clicks into place. Use the 0.5 m cable for short connections between routers, switches, patch panels, or devices positioned close together. Avoid sharp bends near the connector and do not pull on the cable jacket when disconnecting; hold the plug body to release the latch and remove the cable. If used in a shielded environment, ensure connected equipment supports appropriate grounding for shielded cabling.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the cable run within the specified length and avoid tightly coiling or kinking the slim jacket. When deploying multiple shielded cables, maintain consistent grounding practices and separate power cables to minimize residual interference. Use the yellow color to mark or identify specific links in structured cabling.
