Glasvezelkabel S/CONN 77920 10 m SC ST oranje

The ShiverPeaks Fibre optic cable S/CONN 77920 10 m SC ST Orange is a 10-metre multimode OM2 patch cable with SC and ST connectors designed for full-duplex data transmission. The cable has a 50 µm core diameter and an orange jacket for quick visual identification in patch panels and cable runs. It is intended for short- to medium-range links where reliable, high-speed optical connectivity is required between networking equipment.

Advantages

The cable provides stable multimode optical transmission with a 50 µm core optimized for OM2 networks. Factory-terminated SC and ST connectors ensure consistent insertion loss and easy mating with compatible ports. The 10 m length covers typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections in server rooms and commercial network closets. The orange color jacket improves cable management and reduces the risk of incorrect connections during installation or maintenance.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Connecting network equipment in telecom closets and server rooms
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fiber links in enterprise environments
• Full-duplex optical links requiring SC and ST connector types

Key specifications

• Fiber type: multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Connector types: SC on one end, ST on the other
• Transmission mode: full duplex
• Jacket color: orange

How to use

Identify the SC and ST ports on the devices to be connected and ensure both ends are clean before mating. Gently insert the SC connector into the SC port until it latches and align the ST connector with the bayonet interface, twisting to lock if required. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it along cable management paths to prevent strain. Verify link status on network equipment and perform loss or continuity checks if precise optical performance validation is required.

Recommendations

Use dust caps when connectors are not in use, avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer minimum bend radius, and store the cable coiled without tight kinks. For multimode OM2 links longer than recommended distances for your equipment, validate performance with appropriate testing tools and consider higher-grade fiber where needed.
