Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-22016 wit 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-22016 White 0.5m is a short Cat6 patch cable engineered for reliable wired connections in networked environments. With a 0.5 m length and U/UTP shielding, this cable supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and provides a compact solution for connecting devices where space is limited. It uses standard RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and reduce contact corrosion over time.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat6 construction ensures stable gigabit performance for typical LAN applications. U/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference from nearby devices and cabling, improving transmission consistency in mixed-signal environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance conductivity and durability, while the short 0.5 m length minimizes excess slack and clutter behind desks, patch panels, or network equipment racks.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops, or networked peripherals to switches or routers at short distances
• Patch cabling in data cabinets, wall outlets, and office desks where a compact cable is required
• Home network setups requiring gigabit Ethernet for streaming, online gaming, or file transfers
• Temporary connections between devices during testing or configuration in server rooms and workbenches

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall screen with unshielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Maximum supported data rate: 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Color: White

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until you hear a click, ensuring a secure physical connection. Use the 0.5 m length to link equipment located close together, such as a switch to a desktop or a router to a wall outlet. Confirm link status on connected devices to verify proper negotiation of speed and duplex settings. For installations in racks or behind furniture, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain bend radius recommended for Cat6 cabling.
