Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-26105 zwart 25 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-26105 Black 25 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 25 metre network patch cable built to support high-speed Ethernet connections. It conforms to the Cat6a standard with S/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable is finished in black and fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 plugs for consistent contact and longer connector life, suitable for installations where reliable 10 Gigabit performance and reduced signal degradation are required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides combined overall braid and individually foil-shielded pairs for improved protection against external noise. The Cat6a specification allows higher bandwidth and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the full 25 m length. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure corrosion resistance and stable electrical contact. The 25 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms, racks or office layouts while the black jacket delivers a discreet appearance for visible cabling runs.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in offices and server rooms
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and virtualization
• Structured cabling between patch panels, switches and network devices
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielding is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbps over specified distances

How to use

Route the cable between the network devices, keeping bends gentle and avoiding sharp kinks to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. Insert the RJ-45 plugs fully into the network ports until they click; confirm link status on connected equipment. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management accessories to secure the cable and maintain proper separation from power lines to limit interference. If terminating or testing, follow relevant standards and use tools calibrated for Cat6a performance verification.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines for long distances and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius. Use shielded patch panels and properly grounded racks when deploying S/FTP cables to ensure the shielding provides full benefit.
