Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-40011 blauw 0,5 m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-40011 Blue 0.5m Cat8 S/FTP is a short patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. It uses Cat8 specification wiring and S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts provide reliable mating and improved conductivity. The 0.5 meter length and blue jacket make it suitable for compact setups and visible colour-coded cabling in racks or desktop arrangements.

Advantages

This Cat8 S/FTP cable delivers up to the frequency and performance characteristics defined for Category 8 cabling, offering high bandwidth for demanding network applications. The S/FTP construction (shielded overall braid plus individually foil-shielded twisted pairs) enhances signal integrity in environments with potential interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and connection reliability, while the compact 0.5 m length minimizes excess cable and helps maintain tidy installations.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between network equipment in server cabinets and patch panels
• Connecting high-speed devices such as switches, routers, and network interface cards
• Desktop or workstation cable runs where visible colour coding is desired
• Environments with higher electromagnetic interference requiring shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector: RJ-45 on both ends, gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.5 m
• Colour: Blue
• Cable type: Twisted pair, stranded/solid depend on manufacturer design

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 plug into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, ensuring the plug seats fully until the latch clicks. Use this 0.5 m cable to link nearby equipment where minimal slack is required; avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling during installation to maintain shielding effectiveness and prevent damage to the connector. For best results, route the cable away from high-power mains cables and follow standard cable management practices in racks and on desktops.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable for short, high-speed links within racks or between adjacent devices. Verify that connected equipment supports the desired network speeds and that patch panels or ports are compatible with shielded cabling to maintain the benefits of S/FTP construction.
