Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-40041 blauw 3 m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-40041 Blue 3m Cat8 S/FTP is a 3-metre Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired networks. It uses Category 8 specification and S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it includes RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to support reliable signal transmission. The cable's blue jacket provides a visible, professional look for home, office, or data centre installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction offers improved protection against external noise and internal pair-to-pair interference, helping to maintain stable high-frequency performance. Cat8 rating supports higher bandwidth and lower latency compared with lower category cables, making it suitable for demanding network tasks. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent connection quality and corrosion resistance over time. The 3 m length provides a balance between flexibility and reach for typical desk-to-switch or router-to-device links.

Suitable for

• High-speed internet connections and large file transfers
• Gaming rigs and low-latency online play
• 4K/8K streaming and multimedia applications
• Professional workstations and small server or switch connections
• Structured cabling where secure shielding is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 3 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your router, switch or network outlet and the other to the Ethernet port of your PC, console or other network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a stable connection. For installations in confined or high-density environments, route the cable without tight bends and avoid running parallel alongside heavy power lines to minimise potential interference. Periodically inspect connectors and cable jacket for wear or damage and replace if necessary.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs where maximum shielding and bandwidth are required. Avoid kinking the cable and maintain minimum bending radius as specified by standard practice for twisted-pair cables. For permanent or wall-mounted installations, use appropriate cable management and strain relief to preserve connector integrity.
