Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-41014 rood 0,5 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-41014 Red 0.5m Cat8.1 F/FTP is a short patch cable designed for high-speed terrestrial and data center connections. Compliant with Cat8.1 transmission parameters and featuring F/FTP shielding, this 0.5 meter cable provides reliable signal integrity for short-distance links. Each end is fitted with an RJ-45 connector to support standard Ethernet terminations while the red jacket offers clear visual identification within cabling bundles.

Advantages

The combination of Cat8.1 specification and F/FTP (foil shielded pairs with overall foil) construction reduces crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, enabling stable throughput at higher frequencies. The compact 0.5 m length minimizes excess cabling in rack and patch panel environments. RJ-45 terminations ensure broad compatibility with network switches, routers and patch panels that accept shielded Ethernet connectors. The colored jacket simplifies cable management and quick identification of connections.

Suitable for

• Short rack-to-patch connections in server rooms and data centers
• High-speed uplinks between network devices where space is limited
• Shielded Ethernet installations requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Home lab setups and professional workstations with dedicated color-coded cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 performance class
• Shielding: F/FTP — overall foil plus individually foil-shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends (shielded)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Jacket colour: Red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, patch panel) and the other to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure that the equipment supports shielded RJ-45 connections if you rely on cable shielding for EMC control; attach grounding where required by your installation practices. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; the short 0.5 m length is intended for close-proximity links.

Recommendations

Use this red Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short, high-frequency links in environments with potential electromagnetic interference. For optimal performance, pair with shielded connectors and maintain proper grounding. Avoid stretching or sharp kinks and keep the cable away from strong sources of interference where possible.
