Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64085 zwart 15m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64085 Black 15m Cat6 S/FTP is a 15-meter category 6 performance cable designed for reliable wired network connections in home and office environments. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts, the cable supports high-speed Ethernet links while reducing electromagnetic interference. The black outer jacket provides a discreet appearance and practical wear resistance for routed or exposed installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to improve immunity to external noise and minimize crosstalk between pairs. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 connectors enhance corrosion resistance and maintain consistent electrical contact over time. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidths and tighter performance margins than lower categories, enabling stable data transfer for demanding network applications. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of networked devices without additional patching hardware.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for desktops, laptops, and networked peripherals
• Connecting switches, routers, patch panels, and wall outlets
• High-speed data transfer for streaming, online collaboration, and backups
• Office and home network installations where interference reduction is required

Key specifications

• Length: 15 metres
• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield plus individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your device and the other to a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radii in line with common Ethernet cabling practices to preserve signal integrity. If running the cable through conduits or cable trays, verify there is sufficient clearance for the 15 m length and shielding thickness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in conjunction with shielded network equipment or properly grounded installations to make full use of the shielding. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances to reduce potential interference. Periodically inspect connector ends for dirt or damage and replace the cable if mechanical wear or connector deformation is observed.
