Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64090 20m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64090 20m Cat6 S/FTP is a 20-metre Category 6 network cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. The cable features S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and reduce interference. Finished in grey, it is suitable for visible installations in home and office environments where a neat appearance and dependable connectivity are required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall braid with individually foiled pairs to provide improved protection against external electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and data rates suitable for gigabit Ethernet and other demanding network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help ensure consistent electrical contact and corrosion resistance over time, contributing to stable network performance.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet and general LAN connections
• Home networks, small offices and workstations
• Connecting switches, routers, modems and networked devices
• Environments that require reduced EMI and reliable signal quality

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil on each pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: grey

How to use

Uncoil the 20 m cable and route it between devices ensuring it is not sharply bent or tightly kinked. Insert RJ-45 plugs firmly into the network ports of your router, switch, or device until the latch clicks. For installations near potential sources of interference, orient the cable routing to minimize parallel runs alongside power lines or heavy electrical equipment. Verify link lights on connected equipment to confirm proper connection and network activity.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable in direct contact with high-voltage power cables and keep bend radius above manufacturer recommendations. Use appropriate cable management (ties, clips, trunking) to prevent strain on connectors and to maintain signal integrity over the full 20 m.
