Netwerkkabel S/CONN 75725-B blauw 15m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 75725-B Blue 15m Cat6a S/FTP is a 15-meter Ethernet cable designed to support high-speed wired networks. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this cable aims to deliver stable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference for structured cabling in home and office environments.

Advantages

The Cat6a standard and S/FTP shielding combination provide improved crosstalk and noise protection compared with unshielded cables, allowing more consistent performance at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance. A 15 m length gives flexibility for connecting devices across larger rooms or between equipment racks without requiring additional couplers. The blue jacket makes cable routing visually clear and helps with network organization.

Suitable for

• Wired gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in home networks
• Office workstations, network switches and patch panels
• Audio-over-Ethernet and IP camera installations where shielding reduces interference
• Temporary or semi-permanent connections between rooms or equipment racks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port of your network device (router, switch, network card or patch panel) and the other end to the corresponding port of the other device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For installations where shielded cable is used, ensure that connected equipment or patch panels provide compatible grounding or bonding to benefit from the shielding. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling; maintain a bend radius consistent with standard Ethernet cabling practice to preserve performance.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for runs up to 15 m where higher immunity to external interference is required. When integrating with racks or patch panels, confirm that shielding continuity and grounding are maintained. For fixed installations, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and mechanical stress points to extend service life.
