Netwerkkabel S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 30 m

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 30m is a 30-meter Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling in home and office environments. The cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it is terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to improve contact reliability and signal transfer. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations and cable routing along walls or in cable trays.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually shielded pairs to provide improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables. The Cat 6 specification supports higher data rates and reduced crosstalk compared with earlier categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors help ensure consistent electrical contact and resist corrosion. The 30 m length offers flexibility for longer runs without additional patching points, simplifying installation in larger rooms or between network equipment and wall outlets.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for desktops, laptops, and networked devices
• Office and home network cabling where reduced interference is required
• Connecting switches, routers, and patch panels over medium to long runs
• Structured cabling installations requiring Cat 6 performance and shielding

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 30 meters
• Jacket color: Grey

How to use

Route the cable from the network device to the destination port, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large transformers or unshielded power cables. Insert the RJ-45 connector firmly into the Ethernet port until it clicks. If the cable will be installed in permanent or concealed runs, secure it with appropriate cable ties or clips and ensure it is not tightly pinched in conduits. Test the connection with network diagnostic tools or link lights on the devices to verify proper connectivity and speed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance maintain bend radii recommended for Cat 6 cables, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines, and use shielded network equipment or proper grounding where required to take full advantage of the S/FTP shielding.
