S/CONN 2 m RJ45 netwerkkabel rood Cat6 S/FTP S-CONN 2 m

The S/CONN 2m RJ45 Networking Cable Red Cat6 S/FTP is a halogen-free Cat6 patch cable designed for reliable wired network connections. It is 2 metres long, features S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction and gold-plated RJ-45 plugs (8/8) on both ends to maintain signal integrity and reduce interference. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is offered in a distinct red colour for easy identification in patch panels and cabling runs.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded cables, while gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and corrosion resistance. The halogen-free jacket reduces hazardous emissions in case of fire. At 2 m length the cable balances reach and compactness for desktop and rack connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in office and home networks
• Patch panel to switch or wall outlet connections
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Installations where a halogen-free cable jacket is preferred

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network device (PC, switch, router) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the opposite device or to a patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid tight cable bundles around sources of strong electromagnetic noise to maintain optimal performance.

Recommendations

Use the cable for Gigabit Ethernet connections and short to medium-length patching. For permanent in-wall installations or runs longer than specified standards recommend, consult cabling guidelines and consider plenum- or installation-rated cabling as required by local regulations.
