S/CONN Cat6 S/FTP 1m netwerkkabel blauw RJ-45 goud

The S/CONN Cat6 S/FTP 1m networking cable Blue RJ-45 Gold from ShiverPeaks is a short patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in homes, offices and data closets. Constructed to the Cat6 standard with S/FTP shielding, the cable combines improved signal integrity with a compact 1 meter length and color-coded outer jacket for easy identification. RJ-45 plugs feature gold-plated contacts to provide stable electrical contact and corrosion resistance for prolonged use.

Advantages

The cable's S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) design reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting consistent data transmission at higher frequencies typical of Gigabit Ethernet. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure low contact resistance and enhanced conductivity, while the 1 m length minimizes excess cable in patch panels or desktop setups. The blue jacket provides clear visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers in home and small office networks
• Patch panel and rack connections where a short, shielded link is required
• High-speed Ethernet applications up to Cat6 performance levels
• Environments where reduced interference and clear cable identification are important

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 (backward compatible with Cat5e)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 1 meter
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Outer jacket color: Blue

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 plug into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure plugs are fully seated until the locking tab clicks to establish a secure connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep it away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise such as large motors or unshielded power lines.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m S/CONN Cat6 S/FTP cable for short, high-quality links in patch panels, workstation setups, or rack-mounted equipment. For longer runs, select a longer cable length to maintain proper routing and minimal signal loss.
