ShiverPeaks S/CONN glasvezelstekker LC-LC quad groen — glasvezel LC naar LC quad stekker

ShiverPeaks S/CONN LWL Connector LC-LC Quad Green is a compact fiber optic LC-to-LC quad connector designed for high-density cabling environments. The connector provides four LC channels in a single green housing, allowing convenient mating of multimode or singlemode optical fibers in patch panels, distribution frames, and device ports. Its compact form factor reduces panel space while delivering reliable optical alignment for standard fiber network links.

Advantages

The quad LC design consolidates four channels into one connector body, simplifying cable management and reducing connector footprint. Constructed for consistent optical performance, it supports repeatable mating cycles and stable physical alignment. The green housing provides color-coded identification for easier installation and maintenance in mixed-fiber environments. Its compatibility with common LC adapters and ports makes it suitable for retrofit and new installations.

Suitable for

• High-density patch panels and fiber distribution frames
• Data center backbone and intra-rack connections
• Telecommunications closets and service provider networks
• Equipment interconnects requiring multiple LC channels

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC to LC quad configuration
• Number of channels: 4 fiber channels per connector
• Housing color: green for visual identification
• Applicable fiber types: compatible with multimode and singlemode fibers (fiber type selection affects loss and performance)
• Form factor: compact, high-density footprint suitable for standard LC adapters and panels

How to use

Inspect fiber endfaces and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating. Align the quad LC connector with a matching LC quad adapter or port and gently insert until secure. Ensure cable routing minimizes bend radius and mechanical stress on the connector body. For unmating, pull the connector straight out to avoid lateral force on the ferrules. Follow site-specific procedures for labeling and documenting fiber connections.

Recommendations

Use dedicated fiber cleaning materials to prevent contamination, respect minimum bend radius for the chosen fiber type, and verify optical loss with appropriate testing equipment after installation to confirm acceptable link performance.
