Siemens 6ES7972-0BA42-0XA0 kabelstekkeradapter

The Siemens Cable Gender Changer is a compact adapter designed to convert connector gender for industrial automation equipment. It enables seamless conversion between male and female connectors to ensure interoperability between cables and devices in control cabinets, PLC assemblies, and field wiring. Constructed for industrial use, the changer offers a durable connection solution that helps maintain signal integrity and reliable mechanical contact in demanding environments.

Advantages

This gender changer provides straightforward connector conversion without the need to reterminate or replace existing cables, saving time during installation and maintenance. Its robust construction resists mechanical wear and supports repeated mating cycles while maintaining consistent electrical contact. The compact form factor minimizes space requirements in dense control panels and cabling runs.

Suitable for

• Converting connector gender between devices and cables in automation systems
• Use inside control cabinets, PLC racks, and on panel-mounted interfaces
• Temporary or permanent connections during commissioning and service
• Environments where space-saving inline adapters are required

Key specifications

• Function: gender conversion between male and female connectors
• Application area: industrial automation and control systems
• Mechanical durability: designed for repeated mating cycles
• Construction: compact, panel- or cable-friendly form factor
• Environmental suitability: intended for industrial indoor environments and control cabinet use

How to use

Align the corresponding connector halves and insert the gender changer so that the mating surfaces engage fully. Secure any locking screws or latches as applicable to the connector type to ensure stable mechanical and electrical contact. Verify connection integrity by checking signal or power continuity before placing the system back into service. For removal, release any locks and pull evenly to avoid stressing connected cables.

Recommendations

Use the gender changer only with compatible connector types and within the rated application environment. Avoid exposure to direct moisture, corrosive agents, or temperatures outside the equipment’s intended range. Inspect connectors for damage or contamination before mating and replace the adapter if wear or deformation is present to maintain reliable connections.
