SMARTKEEPER ESSENTIAL LAN-kabel trekontlasting, 6-pack, rood, voor RJ-45-stekkers, trekontlasting, flexibel PVC

Network installers and DIY enthusiasts know the frustration of a cable that pulls loose from the connector or snags during routing. The SMARTKEEPER ESSENTIAL LAN Cable Grip solves this with a simple slide-on boot that locks onto the RJ-45 plug, absorbing strain and keeping your termination intact. Each pack includes six red grips, enough for a small patch panel or a handful of custom-length Ethernet cables.

Key specifications

• Compatible with standard RJ-45 (8P8C) connectors
• Pack of 6 red grips
• Material: flexible PVC for a snug, durable fit
• Fits cable diameters approx. 5.5 mm to 7.0 mm
• Slide-on installation before crimping
• Operating temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C
• Reusable and removable without damage
• RoHS compliant

Why choose it

The grip adds a professional finish to your terminations while protecting the cable from sharp bends at the connector. The flexible PVC body grips the cable jacket firmly, preventing movement that can loosen contacts over time. The bright red colour also helps with cable identification in dense racks or patch panels. Since the grips are reusable, you can reposition them during troubleshooting or re-termination.

Ideal use cases

• Field technicians assembling custom patch cables
• Office network installations where cable strain is common
• Home lab and server builds needing clean cable management
• Educational environments teaching structured cabling
• Repairing cables with damaged strain relief boots

Good to know

Install the grip before crimping the RJ-45 plug. Slide it onto the cable with the wide end facing the connector, then crimp as usual. The grip does not interfere with standard RJ-45 jacks or locking tabs. For best results, use with cables within the specified diameter range. Indoor use is recommended; avoid prolonged UV exposure.
