Sneeuwschep Gardena 3242-20

The GARDENA Snow Shovel ES 40 (model 3242-20) features a 40 cm wide, light yet sturdy plastic blade designed for efficient snow removal on smooth surfaces such as concrete and asphalt. Wide ribs on the blade ensure smooth gliding while the fine surface minimises snow adhesion. Raised sides and a wide border increase stability and prevent snow from slipping off. The plastic blade is salt-resistant and impact-resistant down to -40 °C. A stainless steel edge makes the shovel suitable for clearing compacted snow from driveways and paths. The shovel is part of the GARDENA combisystem and fits all combisystem handles; GARDENA recommends the Ergoline Aluminium 130 handle. The handle covering is non-slip, comfortable to hold and provides cold protection. The ergonomically angled handle supports a secure rear guiding hand. The product carries a 25-year warranty.

Advantages

The 40 cm plastic blade is lightweight yet durable, offering easy manoeuvrability and reduced user fatigue. Wide ribs and a fine surface allow smooth gliding and limit snow sticking. Raised sides and a reinforced border provide stability and help keep snow on the blade. The stainless steel edge protects the blade when used on hard surfaces. Materials are salt-resistant and cold-impact-resistant to -40 °C. Compatibility with GARDENA combisystem handles allows flexible handle selection, and the ergonomic, non-slip handle covering improves grip and cold protection.

Suitable for

• Clearing snow from concrete and asphalt driveways
• Removing snow from sidewalks and paved paths
• Light to medium snow on garage aprons and entrance areas

How to use

Attach a compatible GARDENA combisystem handle (for example the Ergoline Aluminium 130) securely to the shovel head before use. Position the shovel at a slight angle and push or pull the blade along the surface to clear snow, allowing the wide ribs to provide smooth gliding. Use the rear guiding hand on the ergonomically angled grip to control direction and pressure. For compacted snow, use the stainless steel edge to loosen and scrape; avoid excessive force that could damage the surface beneath.

Recommendations

Use the shovel on smooth, hard surfaces such as concrete and asphalt for best results. Store in a dry place when not in use. If working on treated surfaces, rinse off salt residue from the blade periodically to prolong lifespan.
