Snijplank Zassenhaus 054040 rechthoekig bamboe hout 275x420x20mm

The Zassenhaus 054040 rectangular cutting board is manufactured from bamboo wood and measures 275 x 420 x 20 mm. The board delivers a stable and even surface for food preparation, combining the natural hardness of bamboo with a thickness that resists warping and bending. Its rectangular shape and medium-large footprint suit everyday kitchen tasks while offering a surface that is gentle on knife edges.

Advantages

Bamboo construction provides a durable, moisture-resistant cutting surface that requires minimal maintenance. The 20 mm thickness improves stability and reduces the risk of cracking or warping over time. The board’s smooth finish resists deep scoring, helping to maintain hygiene and making routine cleaning straightforward. Its neutral appearance integrates easily into most kitchen styles.

Suitable for

• Chopping fruits and vegetables
• Slicing bread and sandwiches
• Preparing meats and poultry (use separate boards for raw meats to avoid cross-contamination)
• Everyday meal prep and serving tasks

Key specifications

• Material: bamboo wood
• Shape: rectangular
• External dimensions: 275 mm (width) x 420 mm (depth) x 20 mm (thickness)
• Surface finish: smooth, food-contact safe
• Weight range: medium (sufficient mass for stability during cutting)

How to use

Place the cutting board on a flat, stable work surface before beginning food preparation. For safe and hygienic use, clean the board after each use with warm water and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. When preparing raw meat or poultry, use a separate board or thoroughly sanitize this board between uses to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid prolonged soaking and extended exposure to high heat to preserve the bamboo material.

Recommendations

To extend the life of the bamboo cutting board, periodically treat the surface with food-grade mineral oil or a board conditioner. Store the board in a dry, ventilated area and avoid stacking heavy objects on top of it. If deep grooves appear, lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper and reapply oil to restore a smooth cutting area.
