Spiraalkabel AS Schwabe 70430, 230V 16A, IP44, uittrekbaar 1–5 m

The AS Schwabe Spiral cable 70430 is a retractable coiled power lead designed for 230V, 16A applications with IP44 protection. The cable extends from 1 m up to 5 m, offering flexible reach while returning to a compact, coiled state when not in use. Constructed to resist splashes and dust ingress, this spiral cable is intended for temporary power distribution in workshops, garages, mobile workstations and other environments where a neat, retractable connection is required.

Advantages

The coiled design minimizes floor clutter and reduces tripping hazards by retracting automatically after use. IP44-rated housing and connectors provide protection against water splashes and solid particles, allowing use in environments exposed to light moisture and dust. Rated for 16A at 230V, the cable supports a range of standard power tools and equipment while its retractable mechanism preserves cable life and simplifies storage. The robust outer sheath and reinforced connection points improve durability under regular mechanical stress.

How to use

Mount or secure the spiral cable assembly according to the installation requirements of your workspace, ensuring the connector and housing are properly fixed. Pull the cable gently to the required length; the mechanism locks at extended positions and retracts smoothly when released. Connect to a 230V, 16A supply and attach the powered device, observing standard electrical safety precautions. After use, allow the cable to retract fully to keep the area clear and protect the cable from damage.

Recommendations

Inspect the cable and connectors periodically for wear or damage; do not use if insulation or contacts are compromised. Avoid exposing the product to direct water jets or prolonged immersion despite its IP44 rating. Use within the specified voltage and current limits and ensure connections are made with compatible plugs and sockets.
