Staalkabel EUROLITE 5801048L 1000×6 mm zilver met kous

Steel cable EUROLITE 5801048L 1000×6 mm silver with thimble is a metal wire rope supplied with a protective thimble for the looped end. The construction combines a multi-strand steel cable with a formed thimble to reduce wear at attachment points, preserving rope shape and improving connection reliability. The silver finish gives corrosion resistance typical for galvanized steel and a neutral appearance suited to technical and stage environments.

Advantages

The cable's multi-strand steel construction provides flexibility for routing and tensioning while retaining high tensile strength for load securing and suspension. The supplied thimble protects the eye from direct abrasion and deformation, extending service life when used with shackles, hooks or clamps. The standard length and diameter make the product compatible with common rigging fittings and stage hardware, facilitating straightforward installation and replacement.

How to use

Form the desired loop using the supplied thimble and secure the end with an appropriate clamp or swaged sleeve according to application requirements. Attach the loop to compatible hardware such as hooks, shackles or turnbuckles, ensuring the thimble sits correctly inside the attachment to prevent direct rope-to-metal contact. Inspect terminations and hardware before loading and apply gradual tension to check seating and alignment. Follow relevant load ratings and safety practices for the fittings used.

Recommendations

Do not exceed recommended working loads for the selected fittings; use appropriate clamps or professional swaging to create secure terminations. Regularly inspect the cable, thimble and attachments for signs of wear, corrosion or deformation, and replace the cable if any damage is found. For overhead or safety-critical applications, follow local regulations and standards and use certified rigging components.
