Staalkabel EUROLITE 5801049B 600x3 mm zwart met kous

Steel cable EUROLITE 5801049B 600x3 mm black with thimble is a compact flexible steel rope supplied with a fitted thimble for reinforced eye terminations. The black finish reduces glare and helps conceal the cable in visible installations. The delivered thimble protects the loop from abrasion and deformation, preserving the cable's shape and improving resistance to wear during repeated loading and movement. This product is intended for general-purpose rigging, suspension and securing of loads where a small-diameter, flexible steel cable is required.

Advantages

The combination of a 3 mm wire diameter and a 600 mm lay length provides good flexibility while maintaining tensile strength appropriate for light to medium duty applications. The fitted thimble ensures a consistent loop geometry that reduces stress at the termination point and extends service life. The black coating offers moderate corrosion resistance and reduces visual impact in stage, display or architectural uses. Supplied ready for installation, the cable with thimble simplifies creating secure eye terminations without separate hardware.

How to use

Inspect the cable and thimble for visible damage before use. Create the eye by routing the cable around the thimble and secure the tail with appropriate clamps or ferrules compatible with 3 mm steel wire rope; follow recommended procedures and torque values for the chosen termination method. When attaching to hardware, ensure compatible fittings and shackles are used and that loads are applied along the intended axis. Avoid sharp bends and abrasion points; protect the cable where it contacts edges. Periodically recheck terminations and the cable surface for wear or corrosion and replace components as needed.

Recommendations

Use the cable for light to medium duty rigging and suspension tasks. Select end fittings and clamps rated for the cable diameter and expected loads, and perform routine inspections. Do not exceed the working load limits appropriate for 3 mm steel wire rope and avoid using this product for critical lifing of persons or loads without suitable safety margins and certified hardware.
