Staalkabel EUROLITE 5801049C 1000 x 4 mm zwart met kous

Steel cable EUROLITE 5801049C 1000 x 4 mm black with thimble is a 4 mm diameter galvanized steel wire rope finished in black, supplied with a fitted thimble to form a reinforced loop termination. The protected eye reduces abrasion and deformation at attachment points, making the cable suitable for rigging, suspension and general securing tasks where a compact, reliable steel cable is required. The 1000 mm length provides a convenient single-piece solution for short runs, tie-offs and small suspension applications in event and stage environments.

Advantages

The integrated thimble creates a durable loop that distributes load and minimises wear on the wire rope at connection points. The black finish improves visual integration with stage and event fittings and offers basic corrosion resistance when used indoors or in covered conditions. At 4 mm diameter the cable is lightweight and flexible enough for fast handling while maintaining the strength characteristics of steel wire rope suitable for light to medium load duties.

How to use

Form the required attachment by routing the cable through the thimble and securing with an appropriate connector such as a shackle, swage fitting or terminal clamp specified for 4 mm wire rope. Inspect the thimble and loop before each use to ensure there is no visible deformation, corrosion or broken strands. For suspension use, select compatible hardware rated above the expected working load and apply correct tension using a turnbuckle or rigging device as required by the installation.

Recommendations

Use this steel cable in dry or covered environments and avoid prolonged exposure to seawater or industrial corrosive atmospheres. Regularly inspect the loop and thimble for wear and replace the cable if any broken strands, kinks or significant corrosion are present. Ensure all connecting fittings are rated for the intended load and installed following relevant safety standards for rigging and suspension.
