Staalkabel EUROLITE 5801049E 1000 x 6 mm zwart met kous

EUROLITE 5801049E steel cable 1000 x 6 mm in black is a compact steel rope supplied with a preformed thimble to create a reinforced eye termination. The cable is intended for load-bearing, suspension and rigging tasks where a small-diameter, flexible steel rope with protection at the connection point is required. The black finish reduces glare and blends with dark stage or installation environments, while the thimble protects the cable from abrasion and deformation at attachment points.

Advantages

The integrated thimble provides a durable, shaped eye that reduces bending stress and wear on the rope at points of connection. The 6 mm diameter offers a balance between flexibility and tensile capacity for light to medium rigging tasks. The black coating improves visual discreetness and offers additional surface protection. Preformed termination saves time during installation and ensures consistent, secure eye geometry compared with improvised fittings.

How to use

Inspect the cable and thimble visually before each use to ensure there are no visible kinks, broken wires or corrosion. Pass the cable end through the attachment point and position the thimble to seat inside the eye; secure the cable using an appropriate clamp, ferrule or other rated fitting compatible with the cable diameter. Ensure connections and shackles used in the setup are rated for the expected load and compatible with the thimble geometry. Avoid sharp bends and reduce point loading by aligning hardware so the rope bears evenly on the thimble.

Recommendations

Use the steel cable only within its rated capacity and in accordance with relevant safety standards for lifting and rigging. Periodically inspect and replace the cable if signs of wear, broken strands, corrosion or deformation of the thimble appear. Store the cable dry and coiled without tight kinks to extend service life. For critical overhead suspension, follow industry best practices and local regulations when selecting fittings and performing installations.
