Staalkabel EUROLITE 600 x 3 mm zilver met kous, model 5801048F

Steel cable EUROLITE 600 x 3 mm silver with thimble, model 5801048F is a compact-diameter steel wire rope supplied with a fitted thimble to protect looped terminations. The cable is intended for general-purpose rigging, suspension and securing tasks where a small, corrosion-resistant steel loop is required. Its slim 3 mm diameter and 600 mm length make it suitable for lighting fixtures, stage and exhibition installations, and other applications that need a reinforced eye for hooks, shackles or connectors.

Advantages

The cable features a plated or otherwise corrosion-resistant finish that helps reduce oxidation in indoor and controlled outdoor environments. The included thimble prevents abrasion at the eye, preserving cable integrity and prolonging service life under repeated loading. With a small diameter and flexible construction, the cable is easy to route and fasten in confined spaces and integrates cleanly with lighting clamps, turnbuckles and suspension hardware.

How to use

Form the reinforced eye by placing the thimble at the cable loop and secure the free end according to the chosen termination method (e.g., crimp sleeve, ferrule, or clamp) rated for the cable diameter. Inspect the thimble seating to ensure the cable bears evenly around the thimble groove and that terminations are properly compressed or tightened. Attach the thimble eye to fixtures, hooks or shackles sized appropriately for the loop and intended load. Regularly inspect the cable, thimble and terminations for wear, corrosion or deformation before each use.

Recommendations

Use this steel cable for light to moderate static loads only; do not exceed the safe working load of the chosen termination method or any applicable rigging hardware. Avoid sharp bends and abrasive contact points, and replace the cable if any broken strands, kinks, or severe corrosion are detected. For critical or overhead lifting, consult load ratings and use rated hardware and professional rigging practice.
