Steekdopsleutel Bahco 6700SM-13 standaardlengte 1/4 inch vierkantaandrijving

The BAHCO 6700SM-13 is a standard-length metric socket with a 1/4" square drive, designed for precise fastening tasks. With a measured length of 24.7 mm and a lightweight construction of 20 g, this socket combines compact dimensions and controlled mass for work in confined spaces and repetitive operations. Manufactured to provide a secure fit on compatible fasteners, the socket is intended for general workshop, maintenance and DIY applications where metric sizing and consistent torque transfer are required.

Advantages

This 1/4" square drive socket offers balanced durability and accuracy for metric fasteners. Its standard length provides improved access compared with shorter sockets while remaining compact enough for tight positions. The reduced weight contributes to easier tool handling and smaller load on extension bars or ratchets during extended use. The socket's precise internal geometry helps minimise slipping and rounding of fastener heads, supporting safer and more efficient tightening and loosening operations.

Suitable for

• General workshop and garage repairs on metric fasteners
• Light to medium maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
• Automotive service tasks where a 1/4" square drive is required
• DIY projects and home installations using metric bolts and nuts
• Assembly tasks where compact, standard-length sockets improve access

Key specifications

• Drive type: 1/4" square drive
• Length: 24.7 mm (standard length)
• Intended fastener system: metric sizes
• Weight: 20 g
• Typical use: manual ratchet or compatible 1/4" drive accessories

How to use

Select the socket size that matches the metric fastener and attach it securely to a compatible 1/4" drive ratchet, extension or screwdriver adapter. Position the socket squarely on the fastener head before applying turning force to avoid slipping. For tightening, apply steady torque appropriate to the fastener specification; for loosening, use controlled force to prevent sudden release. After use, clean the socket of debris and store it in a suitable organiser to prevent loss and corrosion.

Recommendations

Use the socket with tools and torque values rated for a 1/4" drive. Avoid using excessive impact force if the socket is not specified for impact use, and inspect the socket periodically for wear or deformation. Store in a dry place to maintain performance and service life.
