Steelseries APEX PRO TKL GEN 3 toetsenbord gaming USB US English zwart

The Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 features OmniPoint 3.0 Hall Effect switches with adjustable actuation from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm, offering rapid and precise key response. The keyboard includes new firmware and software features such as Rapid Trigger, Rapid Tap, Protection Mode and GG QuickSet presets. It is a tenkeyless layout with improved stabilizers, triple-layer sound-dampening foam, per-key lubrication and a detachable braided USB-C cable for durability and portability.

Advantages

OmniPoint 3.0 switches deliver extremely low actuation points and full adjustability for both featherlight and deeper presses. Rapid Trigger and Rapid Tap reduce input latency and prioritize recent key presses to improve reaction-based gameplay. GG QuickSet provides ready-made configuration presets for fast, game-specific setup. Protection Mode lowers sensitivity of surrounding keys to prevent accidental presses. Enhanced build quality and stabilizers improve typing feel and reduce noise, while the detachable braided USB-C cable adds reliability and easy transport.

How to use

Connect the keyboard via the detachable USB-C cable and install or open the GG software to access QuickSet presets and customize switch actuation, Rapid Trigger and Rapid Tap settings. Adjust OmniPoint 3.0 actuation between 0.1 mm and 4.0 mm to match your preference for light or deep keypresses. Assign 2-in-1 actions through the software to map a light press and a deep press to different inputs. Enable Protection Mode for any groups of surrounding keys that should have reduced sensitivity to avoid accidental activations.

Recommendations

For gaming, start with GG QuickSet presets for your specific title, then fine-tune actuation and Rapid Tap pairings for optimal counter-strafing and repeated-action performance. For typing, increase actuation depth slightly and keep Protection Mode off to avoid delayed responses.
