Stereo 3,5 mm bus ShiverPeaks 51355 — gesloten jackstekker

ShiverPeaks Stereo 3.5mm Socket 51355 is a closed-format 3.5 mm stereo jack socket designed for reliable audio signal connections in devices and panels. The connector provides a standard TRS interface for headphones, line-level signals and auxiliary audio links, and is intended for installation in enclosures, instrument panels or repair projects where a compact, panel-mounted audio input/output is required.

Advantages

The closed jack design offers dust protection and a clean mechanical fit when not mated, reducing exposure to contaminants and improving long-term contact reliability. The socket supports stereo TRS connections and is compatible with common 3.5 mm plugs, enabling straightforward integration with consumer and pro-audio equipment. Its panel-mount form factor simplifies installation into metal or plastic housings and is suitable for repairs, upgrades or new product builds.

Suitable for

• Panel-mounted headphone jacks in audio equipment
• Auxiliary input/output on portable devices and DIY enclosures
• Repair and replacement of worn or damaged 3.5 mm sockets
• Integration into custom control panels and instrument cases

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm stereo (TRS) socket
• Format: closed jack (protective, recessed contact area)
• Mounting: panel/enclosure installation suitable for metal or plastic panels
• Contact arrangement: stereo left/right and common ground
• Compatibility: standard 3.5 mm plugs used in headphones and line-level devices

How to use

Prepare the mounting hole in the panel or enclosure according to the socket's mechanical dimensions and secure the socket in place using its mounting method. Wire the left, right and ground connections to the device's audio circuitry following standard TRS wiring conventions and ensure solder joints or crimp connections are mechanically supported. After installation, verify continuity and audio routing with a suitable audio source and headphones or measurement equipment before final assembly.

Recommendations

For durable performance, avoid excessive mechanical stress on the plug when inserted and use strain relief for wiring inside the enclosure. Regularly inspect contacts for debris and clean with appropriate contact cleaner if audio quality degrades. Match the socket to standard 3.5 mm TRS plugs to ensure proper channel separation and grounding.
