Stereo 6,3 mm TRS jackstekker ShiverPeaks 50400-G metaal, verguld

The Stereo 6.3 mm TRS jack connector ShiverPeaks 50400-G metal, gold-plated is a replacement and assembly plug for professional and home audio equipment. It is engineered to provide a stereo (tip-ring-sleeve) contact in instrument cables, amplifier leads, mixer wiring and studio patching. The metal housing gives mechanical strength while the gold-plated contacts reduce oxidation and help maintain a clean audio signal path over repeated connections.

Advantages

The metal construction ensures durability and resistance to mechanical wear during frequent insertion and removal. Gold-plated contacts improve corrosion resistance and lower the risk of intermittent connections compared with base metal contacts. The connector supports standard 6.3 mm TRS wiring, enabling stereo signal transmission or balanced mono connections depending on cable and device wiring. Its compact form factor allows use in tight panel spaces and custom cable assemblies.

Suitable for

• Instrument cables for electric guitars, keyboards and effects units
• Patch wiring and interconnects in recording studios and rehearsal spaces
• Connection between amplifiers, mixers and monitoring systems
• Custom cable assemblies and DIY audio repair or upgrades

Key specifications

• Contact configuration: TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) for stereo or balanced mono use
• Plug diameter: 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) standard size
• Housing material: metal for improved mechanical strength
• Contact plating: gold-plated for enhanced corrosion resistance
• Typical applications: instrument, line-level and studio interconnects

How to use

Strip the cable to expose the tip, ring and sleeve conductors and solder or terminate them according to the device wiring standard you require (stereo or balanced mono). Insert the wired conductor assembly into the connector housing, secure the housing and ensure the sleeve and shell make proper mechanical contact. Fit any strain relief or locking components supplied and verify continuity with a multimeter before final use. Follow equipment manufacturer wiring diagrams where applicable to avoid miswiring.

Recommendations

For best long-term performance, use suitable cable with correctly sized conductors and minimize exposure to moisture. Periodically inspect and clean contacts if you notice increased noise or intermittent audio; cleaning should be done with contact cleaner and a lint-free cloth. When building cables, allow adequate solder joints and strain relief to prevent conductor fatigue.
