Stereojackstekker ShiverPeaks 50200-G 6,3 mm vergulde metaalstekker

Stereo plug ShiverPeaks 50200-G is a 6.3 mm (1/4") gold-plated metal connector designed for reliable audio connections. The gold-plated contact ensures improved conductivity and resistance to corrosion, while the metal housing delivers mechanical durability for repeated insertion and removal. This connector is intended for stereo TRS applications and fits standard 6.3 mm jacks used on instruments, headphones, mixers and audio devices in studio, stage and home environments.

Advantages

The gold plating on the contact reduces contact resistance and minimises signal loss over time, supporting consistent audio quality. The metal body provides robust mechanical protection against bending and impact, extending connector lifespan under frequent use. The standard 6.3 mm size ensures compatibility with a wide range of professional and consumer audio equipment, and the stereo TRS design supports balanced or stereo signals where required.

Suitable for

• Connecting electric guitars, keyboards and other instruments to amplifiers or interfaces
• Headphone connections for monitoring in studio and live settings
• Signal routing between mixers, processors and recording equipment
• Repairing or custom-building cables and patch leads

Key specifications

• Connector type: 6.3 mm (1/4") stereo TRS plug
• Contact finish: gold-plated for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Body material: metal for enhanced mechanical durability
• Application: audio connections for instruments, headphones and audio equipment

How to use

Strip the cable to the appropriate lengths, solder or crimp the conductors to the corresponding tip, ring and sleeve contacts following the device wiring standard, and assemble the metal housing securely to provide strain relief. Insert the assembled plug into a compatible 6.3 mm jack until it seats firmly to establish the stereo connection. For best results, ensure solder joints are clean and insulated to avoid shorts between contacts.

Recommendations

Use the plug in environments where a durable, gold-plated 6.3 mm stereo connection is required. Regularly inspect solder joints and the housing for wear, and avoid exposing the connector to corrosive chemicals or prolonged moisture to maintain contact quality.
