Stereostekker ShiverPeaks 50110-WM 6,3 mm metaal haaks

The Stereo Plug ShiverPeaks 50110-WM 6.3mm Metal Right Angle is a metal-bodied 6.3 mm (1/4") TRS connector engineered for terminating headphone, instrument and patch cables where a compact, robust connection is required. Its right-angle housing reduces cable strain and provides a lower profile connection ideal for crowded jacks on pedals, audio interfaces and mixing consoles. The metallic construction ensures mechanical durability and stable contact for stereo signals in studio, stage and home audio setups.

Advantages

The right-angle design minimizes stress on the cable at the point of connection and helps prevent accidental disconnection in tight spaces. The metal housing improves mechanical strength and heat resistance compared with plastic alternatives, while the TRS contact layout supports balanced or stereo signals. The robust build provides reliable electrical contact and long-term durability for repeated insertions and removals.

Suitable for

• Terminating headphone cables for studio or personal listening
• Connecting electric guitars, keyboards or other instruments to amplifiers and pedals
• Creating short patch cables for pedalboards and rack-mounted gear
• Audio interfaces and mixers where a compact connector profile is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: 6.3 mm (1/4") TRS stereo plug, right-angle
• Housing material: metal
• Signal accommodation: stereo or balanced TRS signals
• Mechanical feature: low-profile right-angle orientation to reduce cable strain
• Intended cable types: instrument, headphone, and patch cables with appropriate conductor sizes

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket and insulating layers to expose the tip, ring and sleeve conductors. Solder or secure each conductor to the corresponding contact on the plug following the TRS polarity: tip for left, ring for right (or hot/return in balanced wiring), and sleeve for ground. Assemble the metal housing around the soldered connections, ensuring that the cable jacket is clamped to prevent movement. Test the connection for correct stereo balance and mechanical stability before regular use.

Recommendations

Use this right-angle metal TRS plug in situations where space is limited or where cable strain at the connector must be minimized. For best performance, choose cable conductors that match the plug's contact size and avoid excessive bending immediately adjacent to the housing.
