Stereostekker ShiverPeaks 51301-M — 2,5 mm metaalstekker voor audiokabel

ShiverPeaks 51301-M is a compact 2.5 mm stereo plug with a metal housing designed for terminating audio cables and creating reliable audio connections. The TRS connector is intended for use where a smaller jack than the standard 3.5 mm is required. Its metal construction combines dimensional precision with mechanical robustness to provide stable contact and long service life in repair work, DIY cable assemblies and custom audio leads.

Advantages

The metal shell of this 2.5 mm connector improves durability and provides shielding against mechanical stress. The compact TRS design ensures compatibility with devices and cables that require a small stereo jack while maintaining secure electrical contact. The plug's construction facilitates straightforward soldering and assembly, reducing the risk of intermittent connections and supporting repeatable installation quality for both professional and hobbyist use.

Suitable for

• Repairing small audio equipment and portable devices
• Creating custom stereo cable assemblies and extension leads
• DIY audio projects, headphone and in-ear monitor modifications
• Replacing worn or damaged small stereo plugs on existing cables

Key specifications

• Connector type: 2.5 mm TRS (stereo) plug
• Housing material: metal shell for increased mechanical strength
• Contact configuration: tip-ring-sleeve for stereo signal routing
• Intended use: cable termination and audio signal connection
• Assembly: suitable for soldered wire connections
• Form factor: compact slim plug compatible with small stereo jacks

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and separate the conductors to the required length, tin the exposed wire ends and solder them to the corresponding tip, ring and sleeve contact points inside the plug. Ensure that no stray strands cause short circuits between contacts and that the solder joints are mechanically secure. After soldering, fit the metal housing and tighten any fastening components to secure strain relief. Verify continuity and correct channel assignment before final use.

Recommendations

Use appropriate soldering tools and temperature settings to avoid damaging internal insulation. Select cable types and conductor gauges that match the connector's mechanical size to ensure reliable strain relief and long-term contact stability.
