Stopcontactbeveiliging ShiverPeaks BS08-10120

The ShiverPeaks BS08-10120 socket safety cover is a set of ten durable plastic inserts designed to reduce the risk of accidental electrical contact in homes with children. Each white cover fits into standard British-style sockets to block access to live contacts while remaining compact and visually unobtrusive. The pack provides enough covers to protect multiple rooms and can be removed when access to the socket is required.

Advantages

These socket safety covers are made from impact-resistant plastic that withstands repeated insertion and removal. Their neutral white finish blends with most interior surfaces, and the simple push-in design requires no tools for installation. The covers are lightweight and thin so they do not interfere with plug insertion when removed, and the pack of ten gives a practical quantity for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and nurseries.

Suitable for

• Childproofing family homes and apartments
• Temporary protection in childcare facilities and playrooms
• Use in rental properties where permanent modifications are not wanted
• Protecting seldom-used sockets in bedrooms, corridors and guest rooms

Key specifications

• Quantity per pack: 10 pieces
• Material: durable impact-resistant plastic
• Color: white
• Compatibility: standard recessed wall sockets (British-style outlets)
• Installation: tool-free push-in insertion
• Finish: smooth surface for easy cleaning

How to use

To install, align the safety cover with the socket openings and press it gently into place until it sits flush with the wall plate. To remove a cover, grasp the edge and pull it straight out; avoid twisting motions that could damage the wall plate. Replace any cover removed for temporary use. Inspect covers regularly for cracks or wear and replace them if damaged to maintain effective protection.

Recommendations

Keep a consistent childproofing routine by fitting covers in all accessible sockets. Do not attempt to modify the covers or use them with sockets that have loose fittings or visible damage. If frequent adult access is required, consider using a standard socket lock or relocating appliances to a supervised area.
