Brabantia's Protective Ironing Cloth (size approx. 40 x 60 cm) is a thin, see-through mesh layer designed to reduce shine and protect delicate fabrics during ironing. The cloth fits over garments to prevent direct contact between the iron and sensitive materials, helping to avoid shiny marks and minor heat damage while allowing you to see the fabric beneath for precise ironing.

Advantages

The mesh material provides a protective barrier that reduces shiny ironing marks and distributes heat more evenly across the fabric. Its transparent design keeps the work area visible for accurate placement and smoothing. Lightweight and easy to position, the cloth is suitable for a range of fabrics and small ironing tasks.

Suitable for

• Delicate fabrics such as silk, satin and synthetics
• Garments with prints or embellishments that could be damaged by direct heat
• Small ironing jobs, touch-ups and areas that require precision

How to use

Place the protective ironing cloth over the garment area to be ironed so the fabric remains visible through the mesh. Set the iron to the temperature recommended for the garment, then iron over the cloth as you would normally, applying even pressure. For extra protection, move the cloth to cover different sections as you work and avoid leaving the iron in one place for too long.

Recommendations

Do not use the protective cloth with an overly hot iron setting beyond the garment's recommendation. Wash or wipe the cloth occasionally according to the manufacturer's care instructions to keep it clean and effective.
