Striptang Wiha Classic 26845 rood 5mm

The Wiha Classic cable stripper 26845 Red 5mm is a compact hand tool for stripping insulation from round cables up to 5 mm in diameter. Measuring 160 mm in length and weighing 164 g, it combines a slim profile with sufficient leverage for controlled stripping operations. The tool's red handle enhances visibility in a toolbox or on a workbench while its ergonomic shape supports a secure grip during repetitive tasks.

Advantages

The tool offers precise insulation removal with minimal conductor damage thanks to its blade geometry and controlled stripping depth. Its lightweight construction reduces hand fatigue during extended use, and the ergonomic handle improves control and comfort. The compact 160 mm length makes it easy to store or carry on a tool belt, and the bright red color simplifies identification among other tools.

How to use

Position the cable between the stripper's jaws so the blade aligns with the insulation section to be removed. Squeeze the handles gently to engage the blade, rotate or pull the tool as appropriate to cut through the insulation without nicking the conductor, then remove the stripped insulation. Adjust hand pressure and angle as needed to match insulation thickness. Inspect the conductor after stripping to confirm there is no damage.

Recommendations

Use the cable stripper on cables within the specified 5 mm diameter limit to ensure clean stripping and avoid tool damage. Maintain a firm but controlled grip and replace the blade or service the tool if cutting performance declines. Keep the tool clean and store it in a dry place to prolong service life.
