Stroomadapterbord Akasa AK-CBPW28-KT02 24-polig ATX naar SATA-stroomaansluiting

Akasa AK-CBPW28-KT02 is a compact adapter board that converts a standard 24-pin ATX motherboard power connection into one or more SATA power outputs. The PCB-mounted power adapter is intended for situations where a desktop power supply lacks spare SATA power cables or when a direct SATA power feed is required for retrofits, bench testing, small form-factor conversions, or custom systems. The adapter transfers the necessary voltages and grounds through the ATX connector while presenting conventional SATA power pinouts for drives and peripherals.

Advantages

The adapter offers a small footprint and soldered PCB layout that simplifies installation inside cases or test rigs without requiring additional wiring harnesses. By using the existing 24-pin ATX connection it eliminates the need to access internal PSU wiring directly, reducing clutter and improving cable management during upgrades or diagnostics. The board is designed to provide the correct SATA pinout and stable power paths suitable for powering HDDs, SSDs and other SATA-powered devices.

Suitable for

• Converting an ATX 24-pin connection to SATA power for HDDs and SSDs
• Bench testing and diagnostic setups where temporary SATA power is needed
• Small custom PC builds and retrofits with limited PSU SATA connectors
• Repair shops and system integrators who need a compact adapter for servicing
• Embedded or industrial enclosures where a PCB-mounted solution is preferred

Key specifications

• Input interface: 24-pin ATX motherboard power connector
• Output interface: SATA power connector(s) with standard pinout
• Form factor: compact PCB-mounted adapter designed for internal mounting
• Electrical: provides standard SATA power voltage lines (3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V) and common ground paths
• Compatibility: intended for use with standard desktop ATX power supplies and SATA devices

How to use

Install the adapter by plugging its 24-pin ATX mating connector into the corresponding header on the power supply or motherboard power cable assembly, ensuring correct orientation of the connector. Route the SATA power connector to the target drive or peripheral and connect it firmly to the device’s power inlet. Verify connections visually before powering on the system. For bench testing, place the adapter on a non-conductive surface and avoid placing metallic objects near exposed PCB traces while energized.

Recommendations

Use the adapter only with powered-off equipment when making or changing connections. Confirm that the connected SATA device power requirements do not exceed the supply capacity of the host power supply. Avoid mechanical stress on connectors and cables; secure the adapter inside the chassis where possible to prevent accidental disconnection.
