Tafelmicrofoon Thronmax Mdrill Dome

The Thronmax MDrill Dome is a table microphone designed for clear USB recording with a 16-bit/48 kHz audio resolution and a frequency response of 20–20000 Hz. Its vertical VERTIGAIN® capsule arrangement captures sound directly to three condensers, which improves clarity and recording quality compared with many other digital USB microphones. The microphone has a compact black body, rotary smart controller and a front headphone jack for real-time monitoring. The package includes a USB cable and the microphone runs from 5 V with low power consumption.

Advantages

VERTIGAIN® technology reduces dispersion of incoming sound by directing waves vertically to three condensers, yielding up to a 10% improvement in quality and clarity versus typical USB mics. The integrated smart controller combines gain, pickup pattern selection and mute into a single rotary knob for simplified operation. Two dedicated recording patterns — cardioid and omnidirectional — let you choose optimized pickup for vocals or group/room capture. A built-in 3.5 mm headphone output enables real-time, latency-free monitoring with front-panel volume control.

Plug headphones into the 3.5 mm jack and adjust the monitoring volume on the front panel to hear your input in real time without latency.

Recommendations

For best results when recording vocals or single sources, use the cardioid pattern and position the microphone so the sound source faces the top of the capsule at a distance of 10–30 cm. For meetings or group capture, select omnidirectional mode and place the microphone centrally on the table. Avoid placing the microphone near reflective surfaces or noisy equipment, and keep input gain moderate to prevent clipping.
