Tamper Eureka 58 mm zwart — espressotamper 58 mm diameter, model ACC-TMP-003-1KIT

The Eureka 58mm black tamper is a flat-bottom espresso tamper with a 58 mm diameter designed for use with commercial and home portafilters. Its flat base provides uniform pressure across the puck of ground coffee, promoting even extraction and stable crema. The model ACC-TMP-003-1KIT is built for consistent tamping performance and comfortable handling during repetitive use.

Advantages

This tamper offers a precise 58 mm contact surface that matches standard portafilters, ensuring even compression of ground coffee. The flat-bottom design reduces channeling and supports balanced water flow through the coffee bed, while the compact black finish provides a neutral, low-profile appearance suitable for many espresso setups. The tool is engineered for stability and repeatability, helping baristas and home users achieve consistent shot quality.

Suitable for

• Commercial espresso machines with 58 mm portafilters
• Home espresso machines and portafilters sized for 58 mm tampers
• Baristas and coffee enthusiasts seeking repeatable tamping results
• Use in cafés, restaurants, offices or home kitchens

Key specifications

• Tamper type: flat-bottom espresso tamper
• Diameter of base: 58 mm
• Finish: black
• Intended use: manual tamping of ground coffee in portafilters
• Compatibility: designed for standard 58 mm portafilter baskets

How to use

Distribute ground coffee evenly in the portafilter basket, then hold the Eureka 58mm black tamper vertically and apply steady, even pressure to compress the coffee into a uniform puck. Maintain a consistent tamping force and ensure the tamper base is level with the portafilter rim to avoid uneven extraction. After tamping, remove the tamper and proceed with brewing immediately to minimize exposure of the puck to air.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use the same tamping pressure for each shot and keep the tamper base clean and dry. If the portafilter or basket shows signs of uneven fit, check alignment and adjust distribution of grounds before tamping. Store the tamper in a dry place and avoid impacts that could deform the flat base.
