TARGUS top-ontluchtings-grillaccessoire TunaBone | top-ontluchting

TARGUS Top vent (TunaBone | Top vent) is a grilling accessory designed to control top-ventilation on barbecue lids. It provides adjustable airflow management to help regulate temperature and smoke levels while grilling or smoking. The Top vent attaches to the upper part of grill or smoker lids to allow fine adjustments of exhaust flow, supporting steadier internal temperatures and more consistent smoke circulation during long cooks.

Advantages

The TARGUS Top vent offers adjustable control of top-ventilation, enabling precise modulation of exhaust airflow without modifying the main vent settings. It helps stabilize cooking temperature and smoke output, which can improve repeatability of results when grilling or smoking. The accessory is compatible with common outdoor grills and smokers and is intended to be simple to fit and adjust during use.

Suitable for

• Indirect low-and-slow smoking on outdoor smokers
• Grilling sessions that require stable temperature control
• Adjusting smoke intensity for different types of meat or wood
• Owners of kettle grills, barrel smokers, and many lid-style BBQs

How to use

Mount the TARGUS Top vent to the top section of the grill or smoker lid according to the fitment that matches your lid design. Once mounted, open or close the vent aperture to increase or decrease exhaust airflow. Use small adjustments to reach and maintain the desired internal temperature and smoke level; allow time for the grill to stabilize after each change. During long cooking sessions, check the vent periodically and fine-tune as needed to compensate for fuel burn-down or changing ambient conditions.

Recommendations

For consistent results, make incremental vent adjustments and monitor internal temperature with a reliable probe thermometer. When smoking, pair the Top vent adjustments with bottom intake settings to achieve the desired draft and smoke profile. Ensure the vent is securely mounted and free of obstructions before each use.
