Tegelboor Bosch CYL-9 Ceramic 6 mm 80 mm

The Bosch CYL-9 Ceramic 6 mm x 80 mm tile drill bit is designed for precise drilling in ceramic tiles, porcelain, non-toughened glass and other soft to medium density tile materials. Supplied as a single bit in blister packaging, it delivers clean holes with reduced risk of chipping when used at low speeds without impact.

Advantages

This 6 mm diameter CYL-9 drill bit provides accurate, chip-reduced drilling in ceramic and porcelain tiles. Its white-coloured tip helps identify the bit type quickly. The 80 mm length gives sufficient reach for most tile thicknesses and backing materials. The bit is intended for use at low rotational speeds without hammer action and does not require cooling during operation.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in ceramic wall and floor tiles
• Porcelain tiles with soft to medium density
• Non-toughened glass in light applications
• DIY tiling and professional tile installation where low-speed drilling is required

How to use

Mount the drill bit securely in a drill chuck and set the drill to a low rotational speed. Do not engage any hammer or impact function. Position the bit perpendicular to the tile surface and start drilling with light, steady pressure. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and maintain a clean cutting action. No additional cooling is required.

Recommendations

Use protective eyewear and gloves. For fragile or very hard tiles, test on a scrap piece first. Apply consistent low speed and light pressure to avoid cracking or chipping.
